Designed by Legacy Employee David Yellowhorse, a 30 year veteran of Buck Knives, the 110 Spirit Chief is highly customized version of the iconic Buck 110. The extremely limited nature of the production makes this knife a must-have for Buck Collectors. The Spirit Chief uses the 110 as a canvas executing a Native American inspired motif with polished nickel silver, Black Jet and Red Coral and Turquoise for a very striking look featuring arrow heads and a "Spirit Chief" shield both front and back. This 100 Piece Limited Production piece is truly a work of art!
Blade: The blade is made from BOS Heat Treated 420HC offers great toughness and corrosion resistance with good edge retention, ease of sharpening and razor sharpness. The deep hollow grind on this clip point blade would make this a proficient slicer, if you could bring yourself to use it. The blade is mirror polished, befitting of the artistic nature of the piece, and opens via a generous nail nick just like the original. The back of the blade is engraved with the designers' signature and the number of 100.
Handle: Made in a classic back lock construction just like the original, this knife is elevated to a work of art by designer David Yellowhorse. The polished nickel silver bolsters at the pivot have a juxtaposing polished/hammer textured geometric pattern. The rest of the handle consists of Turquoise 'bolsters' with polished nickel silver arrow heads inlaid, then alternating bands of nickel silver, Red Coral, and nickel silver with the main portion of the handle going to a large piece of polished Black Jet inlaid with the 'Spirit Chief' shield. This pattern is executed on both sides of the handle. This is a piece that you'll want to display prominently in your collection and is easily done thanks to the included walnut box with glass top.

420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With BOS heat treat from Buck it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
