The Buck 104 Compadre Camp Knife is a very solid fixed knife, meant for camping. The blade is made from 5160 carbon steel. A very tough type of steel that can handle its own. 5160 is only not stainless. For that reason Buck enhanced the blade with a matt-black Cerakote coating. As such rust is prevented.
The handle is made from micarta. This is a composite material of linen and synthetic resin. It offers a lot of grip, and in wet circumstances even more. The fibres in the textile namely swell when wet. Great during a rainy camping trip.
The Buck 104 Compadre comes with a leather belt sheath with a belt loop that has enough room for belts up to 6.5 cm wide.
